Hi guys, I live in Devon, England and have just acquired a Jeep Wagoneer rolling chasis with a 6.5 litre Chevvy engine, Quadratrack 4x4 running gear, Dana axles and leaf spring suspension.

I intend to modify some components, put a land rover body, roll cage etc. My goal is to enter European winch challenge events.

1/ The chasis is in reasonable condition and shortened to 100 inch wheelbase, I think the body provided a lot of rigidity and stopped flexing. My intention is to sit a Land Rover body straight on top. Can anyone tell me if the U beam chasis is suitable for this? Would I need to reinforce it? or I have a Range Rover chasis, is this a viable option for the running gear?

2/ I have never used leaf springs off road, this set up has a 4 inch lift. Is the leaf spring set up recomended or should I go for coil springs, 4 link, air or other?

3/ Is this early Quadratrack system reliable? if not is there a good alternative? Will I need lockers?

4/ Parts seem hard to come by in England. Can anyone recommend a US mail order co. that delivers overseas?

Regards
BFG
