I just purchased an 8.8 from the local salvage yard for $200. I ordered M.O.R.E. brackets. I have replaced all bearings and shims. Replaced the crush sleeve with a shim kit.  The tubes are clean as well. Hopefully soon I won't have a FWD only jeep.

Very cool! Did you get the 31 spline/disk brake version or the 28 drum?  


So it's not a Jeep... sue me... it's still faster!

97 exp with disc brakes and 31 splines. I did have the d35. I will post pictures of the destruction later on.

The biggest obstacle to the 8.8 swap is the e-brake. Make sure you post on your solution to getting them hooked up. Part numbers and pictures please...
