Hi Guys,
i removed the steering column (because some idiot tried to steal my jeep..they tried to break the steering lock and cracked something from the inside)
does it dismantle? or i have to replace with a new one?
If yes where can i get a new or a second hand one?
Thanks Mark

they are fixable, you should be able to find parts or a whole column at a salvage yard. most of the insides are compatible with gm colums

if u dont have steering column tools (gm style), most parts stores stock em, get used one, not dfficult after few attempts. Give it a shot sooner or later itll loosen up internaly on ya, and youll be able to take care of it yourself

theres no special tools required to pull apart the column,
there are however "special tools" that make the job easier,
a simple awl or pick will remove the lock ring while pushin down on the lock plate with your thumb.
