shock relocation makes the low center of gravity work..

it gains up and downtravel both. the highlined fenders make room for the taller shock towers..

properly set bumpstops with 12" travel shocks... please remember this is a HD2.5" rancho lift with 2" bumpstops yeilding 5.5" of uptravel!

shock travel at ride height...

compared to the distance to the bumpstops.. notice the max shock compression is slightly better than half way into the rubber stop... because it'll compress as flat as a  pancake.. we don't want the shock to slam the botton of the cylinder.

or severly unseat the coil at full droop.

I'll be doing the rear also... soon, with 14" travel shocks.

Just finished my Highline hood mod this weekend.  I had poured over Mudb8's write up for months before growing the balls to take a sawzall to my Jeep.  Once I started, the process was fairly simple.  I spent a full two days on it and had great results.  Here are a few pics.

Before (1-1/4" BL and 30X9.5)

Here's the lifted passenger side compared to the stock height driver's side.

Finally, here is a pic of the finished product.

Look at all the extra room that wasn't there before!

Now I'm just waiting to get my new 35's.  Thanks Mudb8 for the great write-up and for sharing your infinite wisdom.
A can of spray paint once a year, and all of the rust, dirt, and old parts disappear.

Finally got the 35's.  After a little more cutting with the sawzall there is no rubbing.  Here are some pics.
