My wife ordered a part from the Q people first of July .We wanted the header panel for our 99 XJ.  We have an account with Q people.  So I told her to get it . She was told that it was not a grill surround that she wanted, but the person knew what she was talking about. Not knowing she said ok and made the order. Well we got the box and only the GRILL was in it. Not being what we needed we called and were told them it it was not right. They said what you really needed is a grill surround (I know that is what she asked for to begin wiht). Again she said ok, it is still a 99 XJ .UPS delivers. I get home open the box and its a grill surround as they called it, but for a 84-92 XJ or something like that. So we called complain and once again they resend the part. Yet, another week has gone by and that makes 3 weeks. Part comes in I get home open it hey right. Yeah!!!  NOT SO FASt... Part is bad, broken, and looks like someone had tryed to sand on it.  So, we call complain, yet AGAIN they ship it and a week later it arrives.  Get this it is the same one I sent back the week before,still broken, so again we call complain and get one sent from the factory. Check it out, I guess not close enough, because I get it on the jeep and as I install the last part a parking light on the drivers side is when I notice this on is cracked to.....Wife really pissed at this point.  She wants her jeep painted....

     So when I ordered my ORFAB sport cage and a pair of CORBEAU MOAB seats and a grill for yj and xj I called 4wd.com . Told the people at 4wd.com to send thank you letter to the Q people since they are the ones who messed up so bad that my wife has now cancled both of our accounts with them and refussed to order from them.  

Just a quick note for Softop's wife.  I just thought you would all like to know, that I thought I was going to lose my mind trying to deal with "these" people at the Q place.  Everytime I tryed to tell them something they just would tell me that I did not know what I was talking about and that is not the part that I need.  That I need something diffrant.  Well POO POO on them.  What they did not know was that not only do I know what I am talking about because my husband is a awesome mechanic, but I also happen to be a pretty good one myself.  Nine out of Ten times if my husband is in the garage working on something I am with him or doing something for him and I an not one of those wifes that just does not care I want to know why and how and what for.  

  So everyone at 4wd.com should be smiling at the fact that I just put in an order for $1000.00 worth of stuff for our two(2) JEEPS.  Everyone at the Q place should be saying "Oh what fools we have been"

So in closing if you want to get the right part and NOT be bald at the end of it all DON"T  use the Q people..  Take it for us.  

WOW thats just the opposite for me , I've had nothing but good luck w/ quadratec.  I've meet Barry Ryan in the past and he was d ouche b ag.  4wd is also 20-30 more expensive.  I have had 1 shipping order go wrong w/ quadratec and I got the part for half price afterward.  You need to jump on moments like that. S crew ups mean discounts.  

never had a problem with either... but then i never asked them for their input either just told them what i wanted and there it was at my door what i wanted  

you know we have ordered stuff from them before but I think we have only gotten 1 order out of like 8 or 9 orders right.  We have given them chance after chance and they still can not seem to get us the right stuff in a resonable amount of time.  But because all of our friends keep telling us that they have had good luck with them we have tryed them over and over again.  I think that I have been more than fair with the chances that I have given them.  I just can not take it anymore.  My Jeep sat in the garage for a month without the headlights because I could not get them to send me the right part.  I don't mind paying a little more for something if it is going to be right and here when I want it.....  

I have had problems with both but I still go to 4WD for most of my stuff. Not to long ago I bought about $2,000 worth for a resto project on a CJ5. Found out the body was too far gone. Called 4wd sent every piece back with no questions asked. They also have a price match deal. I made a $1,700 order for my TJ and had them price match couple of items. No problem. Got my stuff in about 4 days.
They only thing about Qtec is they have some different things that 4WD doesnt have. But for the maost part i like 4WD. Thats my 2 pennies woth  

like jeepnut said, both companies offer different items, but if you're looking for stock replacement parts, go with 4wd.....they carry them for more modle years than quadratec (my example, front bump stops for my wrangler). quadratec carries some items that 4wd doesn't have. i never had any issues with either company  

4WD got it all here and inside aweek . We got a xj grill, yj sport bars from ORFAB , and new car smell corbeau moab seats in spice. Hell I got all that and still had time to get my hard green doors painted black to match my yj .THANK YOU 4WD. I'd still be arguing with the Q people
