i have a 99 cherokee with 33's and a lift kit, i need more power as of now i have a muffler a chip and cool air intake, but its not enough i would like to know if i could do a turbo or supercharger, i really wanted to stroke it but thats too much i need the most bang for buck, i need advise please!!!!  

Well, not to rub salt into an open wound, but a muffler, chip and cold air intake is the least bang for the buck.

If you want to take advantage of that stuff you have to change the engine's air flow requirements. Providing more air flow capacity does not change the engine's air flow requirement.

A turbo, supercharger, higher flowing head, bigger valves, different cam profile, and more cubic inches. These are the things that dictate your engine's air flow requirements. Not a muffler or an air cleaner.

First you figure out the air flow requirement of the engine. Then, you match an intake and exhaust system to provide that air flow. It does not work the other way around.

All you got is an engine tuned to run on premium fuel, at high rpm, that gets worse gas milage. Not usable performance for a lifted, big tire jeep.

Gears are the biggest bang for the buck. It makes a huge difference. Start out in second instead of first. That's the difference.

Strokers, turbos and superchargers all cost about the same. All three will give you simmilar increases. 40-75 hp depending on how you build the stroker.

Depending on how handy you are, you could build a poor mans stroker for under 2k. Turbos and superchargers will be 3k plus.  

id swap in lower gears. dont know what you got, but i hear gears will give you the most bang for your buck.  

no doubt, gears... to the tune of 4.56-4.88's for 33's depending on what tranny ya have and the main usage.
