I don't like the Idea of a 3" body lift, so maybe a 36"-37" tire would be better, axles width will be 65.5". I may go with 4 inch springs. Just tryng to get the 6up 8 down with the largest tire and smallest lift. although the travel requirements I set may be adjusted.

...and don't forget about hydraulic bump stops. Then you can run less bumpstop spacing and it won't hit as hard.
Well, it won't hit as hard on your whole a$$, only where your wallet is.

me neither.. I'm not a bl fan at all past 1" if you want 6" uptravel, thats how you'll have to get it. as far as 36-37 goes... if your talking swampers or interco tires, the 36's are 37's... for what your after I'd run 35's on the 2.5", 1.25" bl combo, no bumpstops and relocated 32" shocks.
more lift won't do much for uptravel with 38" cuZ you'll have to use bumpstops to keep the tire out of the fenders.
a leveled 2.5" lift (3.5-4" up front and 2.5 in the rear), 2" bumpstops, highline fenders, 1.25" bl will give you 4.25" up travel, 9.75" down travel and fit the 38.5's
this is one of a few I put together...04 rubi, 3.5" re lift, 2" bumpstops, DIY highlines, and 37" mtr's. no body lift.

I think I have a good plan now. 5.2 Magnum, Np445+203/205 doubler, d44 front(J20), D60 ff rear(F250),2.5 front, stock rear lift, JKS ACOS pro bump stops, Highline flat fenders, 37" tires, 32" shocks

MITJ: I think I have a good plan now. 5.2 Magnum, Np445+203/205 doubler, d44 front(J20), D60 ff rear(F250),2.5 front, stock rear lift, JKS ACOS pro bump stops, Highline flat fenders, 37" tires, 32" shocks
how much are you stretching the wheel base to get the 205/203 combo in?
a rubicon t-case is 4:1 low and you can get 4:1 from teraflex for the stock 231
the 205/231 will only get you 3.98:1 and weigh 4 times as much as the 231.. along with leave you with a 4" long rear drive shaft.
the j20 d60 is also offset... ain't it.

seeing that you have now done a TJ and now a YJ, how about a seeing what you can do with a XJ. Just giving one a once over it looks like 33"x 10.5" could work, maybe even 33"x 12.5".

hey guys, i'm new to this. i just bought a 1992 yj. it's bone stock with a 2.5l engine. i'm lovin the idea and look of the no lift yj with 40s. i've been reserching numerous yj builds and i think this is one i'd like to persue. so...the question is where do i start??? like i said, i'm new to this so i have no idea. please help. i do moderate offroading, trails and mud, not much rock crawling if that helps. thanks.
