I have a 2004 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, and I wanted to change my manual transmission fluid in my 5 speed. The owners manual does not tell me what type of fluid to put in it other than Mopar manual trans fluid. Auto zone and advance auto parts have no fluid listing other than Mopar manual trans fluid, See dealership.
I wanted to put a good fluid in my trans, I have been looking at (Royal Purple Synchromax) is this an acceptable fluid for my 5 speed tranny.

also can I use royal purple in my transfer case and what type.

Thanks Mike

Yes, you should use Mopar manual transmission fluid (1.98L). I've never read or heard if it's synthetic or not, but it is special.

The transfer case should use ATF+4 which is a synthetic (2.0L).

In the axles use synthetic 75w-140 (1.89L).

how about 75W-90 in the axles, I thought 75W-140 was for vechicle's that were used for towing only?
