Tru trac I believe is right up your alley. Good road manners and gear driven locker. Which means no clutches and steels to replace. You won't blow it up before you blow up a model 35 rear axle. Stick with smaller tires. Im currently replacing my 35 due to a lock right and 34's. The model 30 front is alittle more accepting.
Lock right is also a cheaper option. You get what you pay for. Also a good multi use locker. Although I have found them to not be as durable. Again no clutches and steels but weaker design than helical cut gears. Everything is based off a center pin that is clamped by springs. Ive used one as I said until I grenaded the rear axle.
Good luck
*Edit* For sale one gently used dana 35 lockright. j/k
I break stuff.

I have detroit truetrac Lockers both front & rear in my jeep. Like stated above excellent road manners, and have worked without fail on every 4x4 trail I've taken. I have gone everywhere those in my club have, and most of them are completly locked, and have steering issues. It also withstood a major axle shattering event. Put new axle in and was off & running.I would have to give them and A+ for simplicity, and performace.
