I'm installing one into my 80 cj5. Did you use the factory plug from the old donor vehicle for the engine harness or cut and splice?

I used the factory Chevy Harness, and sent it to fuel injection specalist. They modified the harness to get rid of all the BS, and also reprogrammed the computer to my specs. When it returned, it had its own fuse box & relays tied into it and 7 misc. wires to hook up. Very Easy & Done.

No, I didn't take any. I did it over time @ night after work, an just never though about it. Main goal was just to get it done & running before I missed the whole summer. I can take pictures of anything needed by someone, and will have some after the fact ones posted soon.

Please let us know what your mileage is. Im not overly concerned and clutching my wallet at the thought of the swap im simply curious. I was thinking it would probably be same if not better. Thanks

After 500 miles, I'm getting 19mpg vs, 14 with 4cyl & my set up. I think it will do better, but having a hard time keeping my foot out of it.
