i have an 06 tj with a 1 inch body lift. i want to run 33's. reading some of the other posts and from talking to people, OME seems to be the way to go for a suspension lift. i think i understand ome is just shocks and springs - what other parts do i need to make it happen? i drive on the highway to work and want to go off-road on weekends. hope to keep the cost under $1000 (excluding tires & wheels)

just a 2" suspension lift, or spacers and new shocks for 33's will go awesome with the 1" body lift..
here's a place to start,

You should at least have a rear track bar bracket. OME includes one in their 2" system. But you don't really need anything else. Sway bar links are nice, especially disconnects, but you don't need them.
I ran a OME 2" and a 1" body lift on my TJ with 33" tires for years. I've just recently added on so that I can run 35's. But, the OME springs and shocks are still there. They ride great.
If you plan on doing more lift in the future make sure you get the N66L and the N67L shocks. They are a little longer, made for 3"-4" lift. But will work fine with the 2" to start out with.
The OME stuff is a nice base to build on!

go with OME you wont be happy with a spacer aka BB kit. but if you dont go with an OME kit you definatley need springs shocks a rear tracbar bracket and your probably gonna want an adj front trackbar but lemme tell you your jeep will look and perform great with the 2.5 OME and a 1" body lift and 33's

yep, the only thing I see thats not there is a drop pitman arm. with the 2" kit ya don't really need it, although if ya end up with a little bumpsteer, thats why.

You won't have any bump steer as long as your drag link and your track bar stay parallel. If you drop the pitman a corresponding track bar drop should also be done.
