I have just bought an 89 Comanche 4x4 and auto trans.  I have noticed that much of the parts I wish to buy do not appear to be available in for 89.  Is there any certian place I can fin intakes, throttle bodies, and spacers? Any help is appreciated.

Your Jeep has a Renix injection system, which isn't popular, and makes aftermarket parts a more difficult find.

The parts you are interested in are not of any benefit to you. It's mass marketing designed to separate you from your money.

Your intake system already has a larger capacity than your engine requires. Without changing your engine's requirements (displacement, cam, port sizing), you'll not gain anything from intake changes. The same holds true for exhaust changes.

If you're storing 5 gallons of water in a 6 gallon bucket, does incresing the bucket to 7 gallons benefit you if you still only have 5 gallons of water to store?

If you want more performance, change your gear ratio. That will benefit you.

Have fun wheeling your new 4x4!

Thanks alot.  As you can imagine I am not trying to spend alot of money on stuff that really has no point.  Basically it will be a daily driver and maybe minor trails, but I like the rugged looks of these trucks and thought maybe that would increase hp,  but if you say that it is no need then I take your word for it.   Thanks again for the advice.  Would you have any idea where to get the pieces that cover the back of the cab on the inside?  I believe that it is plastic.
