Slight gear hum at a stop with trans out of gear and clutch out. Noise stops when clutch is engaged. Any Ideas?

If it's the nv3550 it is normal for a sound that sounds similar to marbles rolling around. The sound in the nv3550 is due to extra clearances to keep from tearing up the transmission.

That's right. NV3550s are noisy. Not an uncommon complaint.
