I got the new input gear in on Friday and I installed it Today.  Everything seems to be great.  I will keep you updated.  I have one question though.  Shifting into and out of four low is difficult unless the vehicle is moving(rolling while not in gear.  Is this just because I need to drive it a little more and allow the fluid to circulate or is it because I am shifting it improperly?  Let me know what you think.

Ya, there isn't a synchro for low. Tranny should be in neutral and you should not be moving or just barely moving. The linkage is tricky to adjust. It should be adjusted in 4lo.

Shift into 4lo, loosen the clamp on the linkage and then push the shifter forward so there is a 1/2 inch of space between the shifter and console, and then tighten the clamp.

The linkage sucks big time. Look into the Novak shifter if you want it to shift and feel really nice.

The swap went great.  I had them send me the long input shaft with the late gear cut.  It cost me $139 plus tax and $50 for 3 day shipping.  Installation went awesome.  Gear went right in and so far Tcase seems to be handling great.

Ouch! I thought Novak had some sort of an input gear exchange program. That's basically retail price. I hope it was new??

It appeared to be new.  I am just glad the headache is over.  Over all the swap cost me about 400 dollars, but at least I got a six month warranty.  It originally was going to cost be 600+, but since the company I was dealing with had no clue what they were talking about I went somewhere else local.  Turned out great and I am very happy with the finished install.

I guess I'll stress that guys make sure they get the right input gear before they buy their TC. I was always more casual about it cause I thought Novak would exchange them.

Glad you're happy. Good Job!
