my bro's and sis' kids were all here today, they all love riding in the jeep I couldn't bear to tell em it was broke so we went for a ride anyhow, I was doing good about takin it easy to all except for one hill I just had to try to climb one last time...

heres the pic ya all already saw when it was apart on sunday....uhhuh I knew it was twisted to start with.

hey thats kinda cool......... the axle was toast anyway so your just out a carrier and lots of time but that still sucks aside from the fact that you have some cool wall art now!

I knew I was in trouble when the 12hp shop vacuum wouldn't suckk the busted end of the shaft out of the carrier....

I'm thinkin a 150-200$ rubicon carrier off of ebay, some new alloy shafts unless I can find some used ones cheap, and the 5.13's I already have, just never got stuck in.
I'm gonna check into having my carrier welded up, its just the bearing surface that's broke.

i do have a d60 full floater laying out back from a  70 chevy I could shorten and have some shafts made, it has about the same size tubes as a fullsize d44 so it wouldnt be overly heavy.

anyhow the ultimate goal will be to keep the rubi a rubicon with stock rubicon lockers, If I stray from that path I coulda just got me a 10,000$ wrangler instead of the brand new rubicon. we'll just see how the cost come out, today's my last day at home for upto 2 weeks so I'll have some time to find parts.
any help locating goodies/suggestions is welcomed! money will be an issue for me right now.

my new paper weights are pretty cool lookin....
