I installed a Howell TBI unit on my 4.2 6cyl and it runs very rich. The check engine light comes on periodically and I checked the engine code and all it tells me is the engine is running rich.....gee thanks. It also idles high too, like the auto choke is stuck on but it's a TBI unit so there is no auto-choke. My buddies jeep is running a Howell unit and has the same rich mixture problem. Anyone got any ideas what to check?
Thanks Roger

Bill, Were you able to identify the problem? I am considering installing the Howell on my 86 CJ7 and want to learn as much as possible about potential problems.
Thanks, Dan
