I recently lucked into a 90 Cherokee Laredo. The wife cut loose with a credit card (YEEE HAAWWW) and i have purchased a Rubicon Express 5.5" long arm lift. Now that that is done, i am in the market for some rubber and found some wheels and tires off an 07 Rubicon. My question is this; does anyone know what the backspacing is on these wheels, and is can I use them on my XJ with this lift? Thanks for your thoughts. Pete

pretty sure the 07 has 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern... the xj is 5 on 4.5...

Wrong bolt pattern and only 7.5" wide. 18mm offset which is about 5" back spacing.
Probably want an 8" wheel for running 12.50 tires.
And, 17" tires are more expensive than 16" or 15" for comparible widths and diameters. The overall mass is also more.
Stick to a 15x7 (10.50 tire) or 15x8 (12.50 tire) with at least a zero offset and as much as a 12mm offset. That will get you the most clearance on a Cherokee. Don't ignore how the scrub radius changes with wheel offsets on a Cherokee. It's already tight.
