can a few decent mechanics replace an exhaust manifold gasket on a 97 tj 2.5?how long should it take?should i pay $175 labor without even trying it myself?my dad says i shouldent even try but my buddies say we can do it.help please.thanks

sure ya can, take gander at it. the only problem ya might hit is a busted bolt, an that aint hard to fix.

biggest thing to remember is to wd40 the snot out of the bolts and just take your time. the only other issue is the header might be a bit tight do to the expansion and contraction. it'll go, just don't use too much force
