Can you give us more information about your jeep. Lifted, larger tires? If so whatare they? Are there any other symptoms?
I break stuff.

Place the tire against the curb, not moving, and turn the tire to the right into the curb.
If it pops then you have worn tie rod ends or maybe a worn unit bearing, but probably a tie rod end.
If it doesn't make a pop while not moving and turning the wheel lock to lock, with no resistance, but it does make a pop while moving slowly and turning gently, then it's the axle shaft u-joint.
If you need to replace the u-joint, do both sides and also consider the unit bearings. The labor to replace the u-joints would include the unit bearing replacement labor. The unit bearings have to be removed to get to the u-joints. Unit bearings go bad also and you're right at that milage. But, maybe they have already been changed, so check it out.
Unit bearings cost a $100 each but the labor for replacement will be free if you do it at the same time. U-joints cost $15 but probably 2 hrs labor charge.
