Hello I have a 1978 CJ-7 used to have a 258, TH400, Borg-Warner transfer case (yes Quadratrac) the only change is it now has a worn out 232 (thanks to brother-in-law) I bought it my senior year of high school (1980) so I am now rebuilding it and since the body and everything is apart and the frame is going to be repaired I was wondering if you can tell me if the distributor on a 4.3 V-6 will hit the fire wall or is there any thing else that I might have missed. I see that Advance Adapters has the engine mounts, tranny adapter and headers for this swap so the only problem I might have is that rear distributor also does anyone make a kit to get rid of all the vacum lines for the transfer case to make it shift lever actuated

Do you have the 4.3 already?
Get rid of the Quadratrac TC and replace it with a Dana 18. It is also offset so you can keep the rear axle. It's strong and has twin sticks so you can have a Lo 2wd. Low range is 2.46 (I think) which is not bad.
