I have a 86 cj7 with the stock carter.  I live in CA so smog is an issue.  I have been comparing the Howell kit to the Mopar kit, and have heard positive and negative of both.  My main objective it to keep the 258 alive and running while passing smog.  

I am leaning toward the Howell kit due simply to cost.  Has anyone done this conversion lately?  Has anyone had any problems once the Howell kit was installed?
