I just got an 05 Wrangler X. I am cerious what size and tire I should get for it. Its my daily driver, but it will see some trails, sand and snow, but no deep mud at least for now. Also not going to be doing a left for atleast a year or so.

30" bfg at's
31's will fit if ya put 3/4" spacers up front which will level out it's stance.
anything higer than 3.73 gears, stick to the 30"'s

The BFG ATs are truly the best all around truck street tire. They are quiet, smooth and go offroad just fine.

But, almost as nice, and a better look, the BFG MTs are not far behind. I've run many (tires don't last long in Phoenix) on several Jeeps that see a lot of street use. For the looks, put in a spacer (it's easy) and go with some 31 BFG MTs. You'll be happy with the look and the street performance.

After I've written this, being Phoenix centric, I should say the MTs are not as good in rain or on ice as the ATs. So, if you're in Seattle (I left 20 yrs ago), go with the ATs.

I am a couple hours south of Seattle, but see just as much rain as seattle does. My jeep has the 6 speed. It seems to be really low geared with stock tires. Do I need to regear for 31's or do you only have to regear for 33's?

You won't be bothered by it in first gear. You may notice a little on the freeway... a hill that you just zip up now may cause you to downshift a gear.

If your plans are to go bigger in the future, I would hold off on the gear change and do that with your final tire change. 31s and stock gears will be fine.

Two hours south of Seattle? Is that your billboard out in that field?

not with the six speed you really don't need to regear,
for 33's you'll want to have 4.10's at least, I'd prefer the 4.56's, the 6 spd has a .83 OD ratio...

LOL, the bill board at the I-5 exit 71 in chehalis, dude, that guy comes up with some whoppers, he put up there, alway making fun of the president or has some pollitical crack! it belongs to the nearby camp ground.

les schwab tires has the spacers.. theres also richey bros 4x4 at the 306/portland internation raceway exit off of I-5 in oregon two exits past the bridge/border.

I've got a full set of 03 rubicon coils  and factory front trackbar also laying around. we could throw em on in a couple hours or so.
they'll give ya what it takes for 31's and 32's with the extra 3/4" spacers, however some new/longer shocks will be needed.
