I'm thinking about running 37" MTR's on my 97' TJ. What do you all think about this tire?    

I have them on my yj and love them! A+++  

they are great driving on the hwy, and most all other situations you can get yourself into....

they stink in the mud  

I have to agree with mudb8 they arent the best in mud, but awsome on the rocks.  

I could hardly wait for mine to wear out (which took a while) so I could get my trXus m/t's  

BFG KM2s. Great on & off road including mud and new sidewall should make it the best tire for years to come.  

I just ordered the trXus mtrs for my other jeep. I hope they are as good as they are made up to be.  

maybe mine are a lemon but i would never buy a set. with 16k on mine they are bad. when they had 10k they were bad too. they are and have been out of round since they were practically new. all the people at goodyear will do is balance them with a very good balancer and take the wobble out for the most part (when you drive off and after a few miles they are back to normail) and sent me on my way with a 40 dollar invoice. it sucks having these tires that wobble when bumps are hit or at 50 they wobble alot. basically they wont balance.  

I never had any ballancing issues with the goodyear mtr's but after about 10k they started to get really loud.... way louder than the trXus are with the lugs hanging out there even.

they are right in the same league as the tsl swampers in the mud and almost any other m/t on the hwy, they really shine on wet, snow covered and icy roads, there are many other mt's that have better road manners, not by much though, some can be difficult to balance for a picky person. on my full size, it looks like they'll make it close to 25000 miles and the jeep may get up to 30000, although they frequently get fried and grooved while off road... on a side note, I have a set of toyo m/t's on the 98 burb that are nearly bald at 25000, (women drivers!?)
here's my spare at about 8k, it was riding on a bad rear wheel bearing for a while.
