Hi Everyone,
I am planning on upgrading my current Willys to hopefully a more modern and safer ride by utilizing a whole chassis swap.. Does anyone know someone who has done this and if so what rolling chassis did they use that would equal the same wheelbase (116.5) inches from center caps...? I have been told that a Chevy Blazer would work but I have never actually seen one in person. As you may know the Willys pickups were narrower in the front width than the rear - something like 56" vs. 58" or 60" (rear)... I need to locate a frame and running gear that are not too wide and end up with the front wheels stickling out 3 inches on each side as it would not look right. If anyone has any experience toshare, please send me an email... Thanks in advance... A.J.

Hey A.J. I do know a guy that did a chassie swap with a 54 pannel (" where are you on your prodject,") Ive currently got a 53 Pick-up and have decided after 18 months of dickering about what to do with it . it's hard to go from a current rider to something over 50 years old. I too have decided to do a blazer swap and would like to see some of the challenges other guys have had ..~~Keith~~ From Tracy Calif AKA c_zrider@yahoo.com
