I have a '99 TJ w/ a stroked 4.0.  On my way home, she quit. After some digging, found that my timing chain snapped that only has about 4,000 miles on it.  It balled up in the bottom of the cover and took all but 5 gear teeth out. Oh, by the way, the gears were new too.
Anybody know if these motors start f'in up valves when the chain lets go.  I know some motors do and some don't.  I'll find out this weekend w/ a compression test, but any tips would be nice!!!!
