I just got my first Jeep...a CJ 7 Laredo from 1981...Jeep is in really good condition but has a few rust spots (not all the way through) on the rear quarter panel and some rust under the floormats...what is my first step in restoring this Jeep's Body? I'd like to begin gathering info on this Jeep model (the early 80's CJ 7) so anyone who'd like to begin tossing advice and info please do...It's all new to me.

sand down the rust, prime it and paint. if the drain plugs are still in the floor, pop them out.
I work to support my Jeep
