I just blew out the stock dana 30 in the front of my '82 cj7 and found a dana 60 out of a 80's? 1 ton chevy for free, but it is way wide. I was wondering if i could swap the rotors/hubs for non extended normal ones to bring the tires in.

Bet you could find a Dana 30 out of a CJ that's cheaper than your free Dana 60??

ya may be able to unbolt the dually extention and install studs along with keeping the calipers, rotors and backing plates, that'll cost about 16 bucks.. and maybe a little grinding on the rotor.
you'll need a full size out back to match, a d44 is hardly enough axle for 35's and 480HP anyhow.

that was a thought, I might take it apart to see if that will work. I've got a dana 60 for the rear too. Thanks
