I know this is a lame question but I dont have a service manual yet. Never changed the oils in trans, transfer, diffs, ect... I have changed the oils in outboard engines and betting its the same concept. I just bought 5 qts. of R.Purple "synchromax" witch should cover the transmission and transfer case. I could use a little info on the dooos and donts. ['00 np231/nv3550/30and35]  as always thanks for the help! P.S. which service manual? theres a few I seen on E-bay

Don't buy any of the shop manuls. Only buy the Factory Service Manual. The shop manuals are vague at best.

TechAuthority.Com is Chrysler's publication arm. They have the FSMs either printed or on CD. Get the CD. It's a little cheaper and much easier to search on your computer than flipping pages in the book.

Cost $90 dollars, and you'll never be sorry you bought it. People buy the cheapo shop manuals from the auto part store and they end up getting the FSM when they have real questions anyway.

Thanks, I didn't receive any manuals with the jeep. Soon the questions will end. I hope!
