Hello all,
New to the forum. I have a question. Have a '95 YJ, 6" spring over, 2" body, running 38" MT's. Sadly it has a 4 cyl stock. I know an engine swap is out of my budget for now. I understand changing diff gears is the way to go for now. What ratio of gears do I need to have installed. Low 5's? Thanks

4.88's is prolly the lowest you'll find for the dana 30.

If its in your budget swap in a pair of dana 44's and you'll get more options.

Bare minimum low 5's. I'm running 36's with 4.88 and a 6 cyl, and that's just about perfect for using it on and off road. High 5's if your not going to drive it on the street.

Sorry I missed the Dana 30 Part completly,
4.88 is the lowest I've seen anywhere for  a 30.
spookietia is 100% right.
38's with a 30 is definetly playing with fire.
