I currently run the bfg at 31x10.5 they have been really good except in deep mud which are not in any at's personality.  Anyways I have about 45k miles on them and I have just a little less than 1/2 the tread left on them.

The Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor is a great street tire, but doesn't work in mud. They handel well on pavement and may do OK in sand, they do wear well. And as the name implies they are quiet. But for an off road tire I wouldn't recomend them.
