Hey guys and gals, I was curious if anyone might know why my blower only works on high? I recharged the AC today and everything was working fine, but know the first 3 speeds don't work at all. I think it might be the blower resister but I thought I would ask the folks who know what they are talking about. Do you guys think it is the blower resister or might it be something else. Thanks Jim

the switch, a new one will fix it for a while, although over time the fan motor gets dirty and takes more and more amps to run it causing the switch to burn up.
can't remember the month last year, JP did up a article on a fix for the fan speed problem and burning wireing.

Check your vacuum hoses. You may find your cruise control does not work either. Your vacuum hoses may need to be replaced until you find the bad one. There should be a diagram of your vacuum hoses affixed underneath the hood. Good Luck!

Mine did that too, only working on the high speed. so I changed out my fan speed switch and that was the problem. now like mud suggests that the blower motor might be dirty and cause more amps to be drawn...so I d take that out of the rig and clean it up really good and check the resistor too.

Thanks everyone! So you all don't think it's the blower motor resistor huh? It sounds like a unanimous opinion that it is the switch not the resistor. Do you think I should just change the switch first?

Id change the switch 1st...chances are the switch is cheaper than the resistor...just have to check at the parts house or maybe even the jeep dealer.
