i have a 95 yj, i bought it used, and im not sure what the rear axle is, i known it comes from factory with a 35c, but this is bigger, and shaped like a 44. did the offer a 44 from factory for the yj or did the last owner swap one in

No, YJs did not come with D44s for the US market.
Take a picture of the diff cover with your cell phone and send it to:

if it was from canda it could have came stock with one but more than likely if it is it was tossed in after the fact
