I put a ramjet 350 in my cj7. It runs great but it has a very bad whistle comming from the throttle body only when I drive it, so under load. I cant reproduce the sound by reving the engine out of gear. Has anyone had this problem  

I remember mine having a whistle. Did you run that test like the instructions say to do, I think it was for the timing. I remember it being worse when doing that. Are you stuck in that mode? Mine was an early one with the MEFE 3 computer so it may be different.  

Isnt it the little air filter it has on the nose of the throttle body making the whistle nose w/all the air rushing past? And nothing really wrong w/the Ramjet?

I made a custom air intake for my (Dont laugh now) my 97 Buick Lesabre w/the 3.8 and I put on a 1ft chuck of 4" flex pipe attached to the throttle body via the rubber elbow from stock air box and attached the air sensor and a 4" K&N air filter (looked pretty trick) and it made a high pitch whistle while driving and at idle too, I noticed a little difference in power and throttle response...might be just the air filter...  

No, even with the filter off it makes the whistle noise. I took it to henna chev dealer, they thought it was the throdle body and replaced it. It still made the noise and they gave up and said that is just the way these engines sound. I think they are full of *** thanks for the reply.  

No , I dont know what that test is. Thanks I will go back and se if I missed somthing. This one is a mefe 4, what mode was yours in that made a whisle?

yes it was a hokie idea but it did work having that stainless steel flex pipe you could hear the air getting sucked in!
