I just bought a 2.5 liter 95 wrangler with no rust (I live in Michigan) with a bad tranny for 1000 buck it came with a hard and soft top and hard and soft doors. I brought it home at 1 in the morning and it started when I picked it up and when I got home. The next day I remove a bunch of not factory wires the owner before me had an amp and a bunch of other thing in the jeep cheap lighting and what not. After I took all that out it would not start. I tried every thing I pull a spark plug out to see if the was spark there was. I pulled the fuel injectors out to see if they were all working and they were. So it has fuel and spark but it wont start have any ideas?

When you were removing the wires, did you remove the battery cable? If not, maybe somthing shortted and blew a fuse. Check all fuses behind the glove box and on the passenger inner fender.

Oops. It's not a TJ. I don't remember where the fuses are in a YJ.
Check the fuses where ever they are. Someone will tell you here in a minute.

When you first turn the key on, do you hear the fuel pump in the tank run for 1 second and then a click to turn it off? Press the schrader valve on the fuel rail for a split second. If there is pressure, this will show if the relay and pump are comming on. Wrap a rag around the valve when you do this so fuel doesn't go everywhere.

It has fuel pressure and the injectors are injecting i took off the fuel rail and tryed starting it to see if the fuel was injecting and it was fine. the fuel pump is fine thanks for the help. I think the starter might not be getting enogh power even though it sound like ite turning over fine. Its the only other think i can think of. THANK YOU

When you removed the wiring, did you remove an alarm or remote car starter? sometimes that stuff is wired into the starting system?
