Are there any companies that sell replacement frame sections for a yj?   Not the whole frame just the sections that are known to rust?

what part of the frame is it? if its just a section of frame without any body mounts, shock mounts, etc. then why not just patch it? ive seen people use 1 1/2" x 1/8" angle iron weld that to the 4 corners fill the middle of the height of the frame with 1/8" iron and welded 1/8" to the contour over that (can you say over kill)... 5 years now and no sign of weakness. also might i mention we used U-Pol Weld-Through Primer on that which is good stuff dont waste your time with that 3M crap

It is the front of the frame where the shackles attach on both sides. everything else looks decent except the very front of the frame like where the bumper bolts on and the front shackles bolt on.

i dont know your situation as everyones diffrent. i dont know how easy it is for you to find jeeps in a yard if you can thats great but if not im guessing if you patch it youd have a problem with the shackle fitting on after? i dont kno if you like the idea of a shackle reversal but it would solve that problem or you could get a bolt on or weld on shackle mount which would mess with your caster so.. and youd need to fabricate something for the bumper if thats a problem all i kno for sure the sooner you fix it the better... that will spread very fast if left unchecked

Yea i found a good one in the local yard, I think im just gonna use that section of frame. I already had to replace the pass. side rear frame where the shackle mounts. I was able to see right through it. But now its stronger then factory. thanks for your input
