I'v got a strange new clunking noise and feeling when I turn right in my Jeep. It also clunks when i go over a bumpy surface. U joints, ball joint or something else? Can't seem to tell myself. Wheel doesn't wobble when I jack it up so I'm guessing its not the wheel bearing. Any help would be appreciated...

The unit bearing (wheel bearing) will probably make noise all the time regardless of vehicle turning. But, as it gets loaded (vehicle turning) it might be more noticeable.

The axle u-joint will usually only make noise when vehicle turning. That's the only time the u-joint is "working".

If no movement in the wheel when lifted off the ground (won't rock), then the ball joints and unit bearing are probably ok.

Ever get to the bottom of this?  My 03 just starting doing this about three weeks ago.
