We are having trouble with the throttle body on our 97 wrangler. I don't know all of the technical terms, but basically it is letting air escape. We have replaced it twice, and both are doing the same thing. Jeep has quit making them, and we can't locate another used one. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem or where we can locate one, new preferably?

did you put in a new gasket? try using some permatex rtv sealant on the mating surfaces

It is not the gasket. The throttle shaft is worn and is creating a vacuum leak.

so it's not the throttle body itself? you're not talking about the fuel rail going to the injectors are you? can you get a pic up so we can see what's going on?
