How is the 08 wrangler 4dr for a daily driver?

We had a '95 wrangler and liked it at first, but then felt like we were a pogo stick bouncing down the road and it seemed very cheaply made.  I like the new 4 door models, but wondered how they handle cruising down the street.

Thanks for any input!!

I personnally don't have one, I have a tj and rides good, they have come a long way with ride comfort, thanks to the coil spring suspension.

As far as your question to see if you would like it, because your taste may not be the same as other people.  Try to rent one for a weekend or a week, the rental cost will be a good way to find out if it meets your needs.

I don't have a 4 door JK. But I have driven one. I have a 94 YJ and a 06 LJ. I would say the JK rode the best but I still love my YJ on and offroad. You can go to the Dealer or rent one to drive to find what you like.

i have a 07 4 door and a 1945 cj2a. befor that i had 3 yj's and other cj2a's. i drive the jk 27 miles one way to work and then 27 miles home again every day. the jk doesn't drive so much like a jeep. in fact i miss the bounce of the leaf springs from the yj. i wish i could have kept my last 1995 sahara. the jk rides as nice as my parents 99 grand limited. its great off road in it's stock form. i have the x w/ no mods 3.21 gears (they suck). check out my pics and vids www.mikegardner.myphotoalbum.com or www.youtube.com search mikeg576.
my question to you is why would you complane about the ride of a jeep? and "cheaply made"?....what?....IT'S A JEEP...... it's not a soccer mom or a cady. it's a jeep. they ride rough no mater which one you drive. they get $h!ty gas millage, make noise, they're too hot or too cold, leak, no air freshner in the world will kill that old jeep smell(thank god), and will go anywhere if you can handle it. i love them!! just my 2 cents.

people i talked to said they ride nice. you gotta remember, it's not a limo. i drive a '95 yj 200 miles a week, back and forth to work plus my wife throws 50 miles a week back and forth to work.....not to mention weekend milage. and about the cheaply made comment.......explain that to my busted knuckles. i don't know if too many cheap vehicles that you need jack hammers and air wrenches to remove simple bolts.
