I have an 04 wrangler sport it has 44,000 miles on it. I've been noticing a small amount of oil coming out and around both CCV valve grommets on the valve cover. Is this normal? Do the grommets just need to be changed or is it the sign of a bigger problem?? By the way its running and idling fine

The just wear enough to start leaking. I replaced mine about 6 months ago and is doing just fine. BTW I have 75k miles and they had leaked long enough that I decided to change the grommets.

Thanks for replying. Its my first jeep or 4x4, I've only had cars before the jeep. I love it and hope to keep it forever or until gas is $20.00 a gallon. Now I just have to figure out why its pulling to the left!!!

No I had the alignment done twice. I mean it was at Sears so I don't know but they couldn't figure it out so they told me to have the frame checked. Now I did rear end someone two years ago, I hit on the left side of the bumper I bent the bumper and the fog light mashed the fender but that was it no other damage, except a small dent in the grille. I was only doing between 20 and 30 MPH. The first thing I asked the body shop was if they thought I bent the frame they said no. I replaced the bumper and they replaced the fender because of how the fog light had mashed the end of it. I bought new tires last March. They are Goodyear Wrangler MTR's they have been wearing pretty evenly until now I think. Now the inside of the left tire is wearing and the outside of the right. It doesn't pull to the left right away it takes a second or two before it pulls and its not pulling real hard but enough. I did find a hole in the boots of the tie rods, not big holes but enough for there to be new and old grease in my right rim and the left tie rod is leaking a little too. I guess what I'm asking is do you think my frame is bent????? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

What do you mean "it doesn't pull right away". what speed does it start pulling? does it track straight? did it pull right after the accident? and take it to somebody that actually has a brain. not sears. a true alignment shop will be able to check it for usually about 35 bucks. also I had bad luck with Schwabs too. they don't check the frame. if your tires are wearing odd it is ussually a problem with tracking or alignment.

I mean when I let go of the steering wheel it goes straight for a few seconds then starts pulling to the left. I tihnk I'm going to take to this jeep dealer another jeep owner told me about near me. They have a wrangler department that does aftermarket mods. He told me there real good and they guys who work there all own wranglers and know alot about them. Oh and it starts pulling around 40 from what I can tell.

sounds like the alignment. as for the grease boots, you can replace them, but you gotta take the linkages apart. a good rule of thumb that i was taught, is to pump in the fresh grease till it starts to make the boot swell. sometimes you'll get a little bit seeping out, no biggie, just be sure to grease it regularly......especially after playing around in the dirt and mud.
