ok so i think i have done my fair share of research on lockers but i still cant make up my mind. i understand most of us have to go with what works in our buget, however i want somthin that reliable.  a guy at a trusted diff shop told me that he would chose detroit lockers over arb airs..except he told me with the detroit he would recommend the teraflex 2wd low range kit. cause there could be some problems on the street unless installed. first of all is that true of course i want to be able to turn my wheels, but not having to worry bout air lines gettin pinched or cut is another nice feature. what are you guys runnin out there and do you have any problems with yours whether it be detroit or arb?????

the arb or other selectable locker unless it's just a mud toy....

the air lines are in no way effected by turning nor will they get pinched unless improperly installed

even though your drive shaft turns in 2wd, it's not engaged to the rear out put unless it's in 4wd
the kit won't improve the mileage either.

IMO the detroits stink for a daily driver, besides have a lot of slop in em.

I have two full size chevys w/detroits I've owned for 20 years.

I am running Detroit locked in my 94 yj.  It isn't the best set up for street, but i don't have much problems driving them on the street.  Off road they rule.  I love them.
