Im putting in the 2" Black Diamond Add-A-Leaf kit, and i want to know if i need the transfer lowering case?

In quadratec mag they say for 2" in more its highly recommended so that the steering angle is close to stock....

So yes of no?

And with this type of 2" lift, do i need to extend my brake lines?

well the t-case lowering kit won't change the steering angle, but you will want a drop pitman arm for the steering. you can get away without it but won't want to.

the t-case drop will inprove the drive shaft angle and eliminate help eliminate vibration, if it has any.

your brake lines should be long enough to handle the 2" lift

ok well my plan is to go with the 2inch lift, and maybe add 1inch of shackle lift, but the pitman arm in quadratec says it needs a "Pitman Arm Puller" to remove it.... do i really need this?

It also says "Do not use a dropped pitman arm with less then 3" of suspension lift"  so???

the yj is a bit more forgiving with bumpsteer than the tj's...I'd get one myself using the 2" and shackles.

the arm can be removed without a puller, using a die grinder and a small cutoff wheel to make a kerf then drive u punch or a screwdriver in the kerf to spred the arm..ya gotta be carefull not to cut into the box housing.

I did the same mod on my 94yj, I decided not to use the transfer case lowering kit.  I got allot of vibration.  As soon as I installed the lowering kit the vibration went away.

the rear can also be shimmed to get rid of the vibs without lowering the t-case
