Hi my name is Erik Schreiner and I am the California
Association of 4 Wheel Drive Southern District
Publicity Chairman and I am sending this Email to
South District Clubs reminding everyone about the 37th
annual High Desert Round Up.
HDR will be held near Stoddard Valley during Memorial
Day weekend, May 23-26. There are a couple minor
changes from years past I want to inform people about.
First, NO DUMPSTER this year, not a big deal because
everyone practices “Pack it in, Pack it out”. Second
change, no breakfast available Friday or Monday
mornings. These changes are needed because, yeah you
guessed it, rising cost. Pre-registrations are down
and the HDR committee understands that rising fuel
prices impacts everyone and we all must make
adjustments to cope. If we, the Off Road community, do
not continue to support our sport we will have no
where to ride once we can afford fuel again. So if
fuel costs is your reason for not attending please
register and order a T-shirt or two anyways and
continue to support the organizations that are here to
fight for open trails. For the cost of a Saturday
night family dinner at Denny’s you will help support
the battles.
For those attending, please pre-register quickly and
also volunteer to help with a game, lead a run, or
most of all, help with camp set up and break down!

Thank you,
Erik Schreiner
