I have been planning my build for a while now and cant decide what combination i should go with. I have a 06 unlimited and it is my daily driver so my plan is to go with a 2.5" skyjacker value flex lift and run 32"s. The kit comes with a TC lowering kit but i hate my stock skid plate as it is and I dont want to loose any more clearance because of the thing so i have been looking at a terra flex belly up skid plate, but this requires a body lift. My question is, is there a skid plate that doesnt need a body lift but will gain more clearance, what solution do you have for the hunk of metal that hangs down too low under my jeep.

you can get away without lowering the t-case using a 2.5" lift by adjusting the pinion angle, It may still leave a slight vib at a certain speed, though can be completely eliminated using a slip yolk eliminator and a cv driveshaft.
AEV is now selling the nth degree skid, it gains a couple inches (upto 2.75") without a body lift. the nth degree parts division.

Im sold on the skid plate and i was going to wait on the SYE, with my longer wheel base i think i can get by for the time being till i get more money. I want to get one no matter what with a higher spline count on the out put shaft but Im gona wait till i get my novac T case shifter kit and order their SYE at the same time. Im gona re-wire the lights i just put on so the switchs will be in the spot where the old handle was and add a heat shield to the wires since theyll be right above the tranny, just for piece of mind.
