So I snapped my dana 35 stock axle, got 4.56's w/a lockrite and 33's. Im tryin to find a aftermarket chromoly axle kit but every thing im finding is a higher spline count than the stock 27 spline. Im stuck with having to go back to a stock axle to get it rolling again but I want to upgrade but im not having much luck finding ones with a stock spline count, can anyone point me in the right direction? thanks alot

I replaced my D35 with a Ford 8.8" from a 1999 Explorer. Same gears as my D35 so it was a direct swap. Same 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern too. After new calipers pads and rotors it ran me less than replacing my D35 differential, gear and pinion. MORE has nice kits for adapting the Ford Axle.
I did do the Chromoly shaft upgrade to my front D30 when the vacuum blew a rust whole. Cost about $200 more than a cable kit to replace the vacuum switch.
