Heya! I'm strongly considering a 3" body lift on my 06 Rubicon.  I used to have a 88 Wrangler 4cyl and put a 2.5" body lift and added 31 11.5 tires on that.  Any thoughts from you all? Does anyone know of any issues or problems in doing this?? any thoughts??? Thanks! Also - Ive been looking for some very simple black metal tubing type side bars, but not the ones that run the entire side of the Jeep - I just want something short like 2feet max... anyone know where I can get them... its going to be tough getting up in my Jeep in a dress and heels    when its time to go to work ha ha!

I have a one inch body lift that was just to get the 35" tires out of the stock fenders. That being said 3" of body lift Is alot!!!! I've got a friend with a 05 TJ with 2.5" of body lift and he wishes he wouldn't have gone so high with the body lift.

I also think it looks kinda funky with all of that gap between the body and frame.
I think you'd be better of to do like a two inch lift and a one inch body, or better yet do all the lift in the suspension!

Some times when I get mine all twisted up my transfer case shifter still gets stuck so I can't even imagine some of the problems you might have!

Just my thoughts, hope they help!

I stay away from body lifts unless your looking to put a high clearance skid/crossmember.

a 2.5" lift will fit those 33's, It'll need the bumpstops extended.

heres my 2.5" rancho w/34's...

A 3" lift is bordering on dangerous.  Imagine all the force on those extra long body bolts - slam on the breaks hard enough and you could shear them off.

Get a 2" budget boost, and a 1" body lift.
