Has anyone done the YJ nose to CJ nose swap and can you tell me how to do it . Now that the Cummins swap is done I need to change something else . If anyone needs info on the Cummin swap give me a shout . BTW any of you that have done the Cummins swap, What did you use for a slave cylinder . I probably should mention I have a NV4500 behind the 4BT . Reason I ask is that I have NV4500 in my other rig and it shifts a lot nicer that the one in the jeep .

Thanks for answering. I believe after I am done with this job in Oklahoma and head back to my place on the Oregon coast I will pull the nose off the War Wagon and throw a conplete CJ long nose front on it . I read where a guy put a CJ short nose on a Wrangler tub . He had good reasons for doing it . More room for tires mostly . I could go that route but I also am go to put Dana 60's under the beast and am going to try to put a few more inches of wheelbase also. I already have the front axle , just needs to be narrowed . Now where did I leave that pile of money at ?

whats wrong with the square eyed stepchild? you can fit tires and stretch the wheelbase with the yj front end. its just wrong. if you wanted a cj you should of started with a cj. if your set on doing the swap send me your yj front end ill pay for shipping.

I like the stronger frame and the galvanised body of the YJ and round headlights and dash of the CJ . When I bought it I wanted the fuel injected 4.0 . I was going to put a NV4500 behind it and an Atlas t-case . Then I saw a CJ7 with a 4bt in it and thats when I decided to decided to do the same swap . If I had it to do all over again I would have found a CJ3B to put the Cummins into . What was that shipping address again +

if your serious about sending me your old yj front end let me know for real. i could use some spare parts. i like the round headlights to but i also like all jeeps of any shape and size. i can respect your choices of wanting the stronger frame and such. i think its cool you put a diesel in most everybody is going sbc. you know all the kids are doing it. but i would love to have the torque and sealed factor with no spark of a diesel. so what part of the country are you in. im in toledo ohio. haf 2 see how much shipping would b. and how much of the front end are you getting rid of? pm me.

Its going to be awhile before I do the swap . Probably a few years . I've got those Dana 60's I need to get done also and I'm building a shop . Its the money thing . The grille is a little screwed up courtesy of a deer . We'll talk then .
