Purchased a 77 CJ5 for almost nothing.  Discovered that it contains a 302 Ford motor, because Ford and AMC share the same bellhousing to tranny bolt pattern.  (304 gave up the ghost long time ago.)  Plan to stroke the 302 to 347 and mate to Ford T18 Tranny (6.13 Granny Lo).  Combine this to Dana 20 transfer case with Lo range kit.  Curious as to if anyone has tried this combo.  From what I see, everone else goes the GM small block route.??  On another post, my questions are about Dana 44 axles from FSJ Cher/Whaggy (74-79) to handle the tires (38") and V8.  Plan YJ (2.5") spring over as well.  Welcome all sugjestions and criticism!!??
