how do we vote?  

yeah... this seems a bit odd to me... the people who are recently added have an obvious advantage... same with "most popular"... "highest rated"... "most commented"... i'm not necessarily complaining about this... but i'm thinking that you might take some time and post a list of everyones ride with the primary pic in one locked thread and then they can locate the ride they like or are interested in... maybe even a link in with the photo directly to the ride... it would eliminate people whining later on... just an idea  

click on the readers ride button above and browse, It's a little time comsuming, theres not really that many there yet.  the highest rated ones seem to be just climbing on something or just have a piece of....
next to it.  

Valid point there Mike, and we did consider it. But in the end when looking through the rides we realized that 95% of the rides on all the sites, not just FW, have either 1 or 0 votes and those 5% that have more than that arn't active and thus aren't eligible to win anyway.

Being on the homepage really doesn't give much of an advantage to this contest, at least not from the trends that I have seen in the past. They still get zero votes.

The key to this is going to be having friends, family, and strangers (IE MySpace bulletins, other forums, ect) vote for your ride. If this thing flops the winner could have very few votes...
