Which of the two factory rear ends is preferred and why?

the corp 8.25 is suposed to be the stronger XJ rear end
at least thats what ive read and you hear about a 35 blowing more than you do the 8.25

The 8.25. It's got a heavier housing that keeps it from having most of the troubles the Dana 35 has. The Dana 35 is a less rigid housing. Housing flex is bad for gears and axles.
