I am fond of those classic white jeep rims that you can see on the end result of JPs Project Hatari! CJ. Not the wagon wheels, but the almost completely solid white ones (http://images.jpmagazine.com/projectbuild/0505_01z+1971_Jeep_CJ6+Front_Passenger_Side.jpg). Where can I pick up a set of my own, and will they fit the bolt pattern on my '89 YJ? For more clarification I noticed the same rims paired with High-Tec retreads in a tire rundown in a recent issue of JP (I imagine its actually the same wheel used in both articles...)Can anyone help?

don't really know off the top of my head where you can find them... but i know that they aren't jeep specific rims... they're designed for the old chrome mushroom head hubcaps... you can find them for trailers easier then for vehicles i think...

just ask the jeepnut. in toledo (the home of the jeep) where i live there is a store called willys overland motors http://willysoverland.com/ they can help you get ahold of anything classic jeep. or they might even have some to sell ya. or you could try collins brothers out of texas who might have an inexpensive used set http://www.collinsbrosjeep.com/ either way they will get you set up.
will work for jeep parts!

If you are looking for non stock sizes, try Stockton Wheel at http://www.stocktonwheel.com or Wheel Vintiques at http://www.wheelvintiques.com. I believe Jeep used Stockton wheels on their JT prototype truck and gave credit to JP's Project Hatari! for the inspiration.

Guys, those are the stock '71 CJ-6 wheels on Project Hatari!. I later got another set of stock Jeep rims from Collins Bros. Jeep, www.collinsbrosjeep.com since the lug hole on the stock wheels were starting to crack.
And just so you know, they were sprayed with the same "Almond" color spray paint I use to paint the gate on my property. They're not white.
